Founded in 1998, the Department of American Culture and Literature at Haliç University is devoted to exploring the evolution of American subculture and literature, spanning from its origins to modern-day times. Through a mixture of departmental publications and collaborative projects consisting of conferences, seminars, and artwork events with different universities, our program aims to provide students with a comprehensive expertise of American cultural and literary background.The curriculum of our department capabilities language courses in the initial years, laying the foundation for cultural and literary training, along with general literature courses which include Mythology and Critical Theories. Additionally, students can pick elective publications based totally on their pastimes. In the latter years, the curriculum delves into a detailed examination of the multicultural American society, exploring its ancient, cultural, and theoretical factors, in addition to presenting translation and non-compulsory publications for professional specialization.Given that the language of practice is English, skillability in English is vital for our college students.
