The program is designed to connect Sufi doctrine, history, and literature with basic Islamic sciences and various social disciplines, emphasizing interdisciplinary cultural studies from Turkey's perspective of "Islamic thought and Sufism." It aims to address the country's lag in field studies compared to Western and Far Eastern nations, contributing to the advancement of religious and cultural studies. The language of instruction is Turkish, and students learn Ottoman Turkish and Arabic for research purposes. The Master's Program with Thesis includes compulsory and elective courses, a seminar, and a thesis, totaling 120 ECTS. Graduates of the Faculty of Theology are exempt from preparatory courses.
