Program summary :

The Textile and Fashion Design Department at Haliç University's Faculty of Fine Arts is dedicated to training designers capable of creating original, contemporary, and high-quality designs for the fashion, ready-to-wear, and textile industries. Our program emphasizes the development of design skills utilizing diverse materials and production techniques, with a focus on leading fashion trends while maintaining structural integrity, material selection, functionality, and visual balance. Throughout the four-year undergraduate program, students receive comprehensive training in fashion design alongside supplementary courses covering weaving, printing, fabric design, and textile principles. With a student-centered approach to education, our program prioritizes hands-on learning experiences to foster practical skills and creativity. Through our growing number of Erasmus agreements, students benefit from valuable international educational opportunities, enhancing their design awareness on a global scale. Increasing international exchanges within the department further enriches our students' understanding of universal design principles.
