Given the geographical location of our country at the crossroads of ancient civilizations, historical developments, particularly in politics and diplomacy, hold significant relevance. With a tradition dating back centuries, history in our country boasts a rich legacy of scholarly endeavors. In comparison to other academic disciplines, history enjoys a global presence and a wealth of publications and research. Moreover, the abundance of historical records within Ottoman archives facilitates comprehensive exploration of the histories of numerous neighboring states. Consequently, the significance of the History Department is further underscored.
