The Pharma D Program is designed to prepare students for careers as pharmacists. Students study topics such as pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacotherapy, pharmacy law, and pharmacy practice management. Pharm.D. programs also emphasize patient care skills, communication, and professionalism. Graduates of Pharm.D. programs are eligible to take licensing exams to become licensed pharmacists and can pursue careers in community pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, pharmaceutical industry, research, academia, and other healthcare settings.
