The program integrates Sufi doctrine, history, and literature with basic Islamic sciences and social disciplines, emphasizing interdisciplinary cultural studies from Turkey's perspective of "Islamic thought and Sufism". It aims to address the country's academic lag compared to the West and Far East in field, religious, and cultural studies. Instruction is in Turkish, with a focus on teaching research languages relevant to Sufism, including Ottoman Turkish and introductory Arabic. The Non-Thesis Master's Program requires completion of 7 compulsory courses, 3 elective courses, and a Term Project, totaling 90 ECTS credits.
