The rapid advancement of technology in our modern era has led to significant transformations in the field of communication, necessitating adaptations to digitalization and the emergence of new media platforms. Traditional concepts defining media, such as tools and channels, have evolved into new paradigms characterized by interaction, virtuality, and digitalization. The advent of Web 2.0 has enabled bidirectional information sharing, transcending the constraints of time and space inherent in traditional media. Consequently, traditional education in communication may no longer suffice for the demands of the contemporary communication landscape. The BA program in "New Media and Communication Systems" at İstanbul Aydın University's Faculty of Communication is designed to address these evolving needs by equipping students with the skills to effectively utilize and navigate new media tools, thereby meeting the demands of the rapidly evolving communication sector.
