The University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) is a public research university located in downtown Denver, Colorado. Established in 1912 and officially recognized as an independent campus in 1973, CU Denver is part of the University of Colorado system. The university offers over 110 undergraduate majors and minors, as well as more than 130 graduate programs across seven schools and colleges. CU Denver is known for its commitment to diversity, with approximately half of its undergraduates being students of color and first-generation college students.
