Founded on 20 August 2002, UniKL is a national technical university wholly owned by MARA, with the mission of elevating Malaysia’s technical education standards

◾ Comprises 13 specialised institutes across 12 campuses in Peninsular Malaysia (e.g., Kuala Lumpur, Gombak, Bangi, Sepang, Ipoh, Lumut), each offering niche programmes
◾ Offers over 139 programmes (foundation to PhD) including:

Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Energy, Aviation, Marine)

UniKL seeks to enhance international collaboration through student exchange programs and dual degree offerings. For instance, the university offers a dual degree program with De Montfort University (DMU) in the United Kingdom, allowing students to earn two internationally recognized degrees. Additionally, UniKL is accredited by international professional bodies, enhancing employment opportunities for its graduates.
