Students who have completed their education and obtained a degree as a Health Technician are eligible to work under the title of "Medical Secretary" in both public and private healthcare institutions and organizations. Medical secretaries play a crucial role in these settings by managing patient appointment services, facilitating admission procedures, providing patients with information about institutional operations and medical services, maintaining patient records, handling communication and correspondence tasks within administrative and medical units, organizing and archiving patient files, as well as other necessary documents and reports using established scientific methods, and presenting them as required. They are also responsible for classifying and coding data based on international classification systems relevant to their operations and health-related issues. Additionally, medical secretaries compile medical statistics data and analyze them using scientific methods, periodically reporting the results to relevant stakeholders. Graduates who have successfully completed the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) for Health Technicians may be appointed to positions as Medical Secretaries.
